RAILWAY NEWS
2009-04-18: Oulton Railway taking shape.
Oulton Railway has been running test trains on the new remodelled track
between Grand Avenue Central and Hanston Square.
Unfortunately we have lost Unnamed & Baby Junction in the process of the
remodelling however we will be providing local bus services to the affected
areas. The main line stays intact and can be seen on the new photos available on
the media page.
Sometime in May, there will be a special railtour hailing the re-opening of
the main line to passengers, check out the railtours
page.
2009-04-15: Oulton Railway replacement service
Due to the major engineering works taking place, with no passenger trains
running on our network for the moment, we have a replacement service running as
follows:
On weekdays (Monday-Friday) in the morning peak (7-9am) and evening peak
(5-7pm) we are providing a bus service between all stations running every 30
minutes. On Saturdays and during weekday offpeak, there will be a bus service
between all stations running every 60 minutes. On Sundays, there will be a horse
and cart service between all stations, running approximately every two hours
(allowing for rest stops along the way...).
We would like to thank our loyal passengers for being patient with us while
we rebuild our railway. We hope it won't be too long before we are running
regular passenger services.
Keep an eye out for special ticket offers for the special rail tour
to re-launch the railway in May.
