BEHIND THE SCENES
Of course,
Oulton Trains and
Oulton Rail are fictional - Train Operating Company and Railway Maintenance working together, this happens in the real world also
(somewhere). In tribute of the real world co-operativeness, Joel created this OO-scale garden railway in his Suffolk garden. The aim of
the Oulton Railway is to operate, as much as possible, against the outdoor weather conditions. On 'Service Running Days', the railway operates to a set timetable for passenger, freight
& postal trains. Modern DMUs are widely used for day-to-day running, however the passing locomotive-hauled
rail tour runs by occasionally. A Track Worker's View & Signalling News - reports from a
Oulton Rail worker - available soon
The outline map of the
Oulton Railway reveals the railway's deepest secrets, including the fact the stations are actually nearby -- please don't tell the passengers though -- it might affect fare revenues! -- This map
has
been updated to show the new Oulton Railway of 2009.
